Transfer Students

Thank you for your interest in Central Christian School! We're aware selecting a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make, and determining the timing of that decision is a huge part of the process.

Does Central accept students mid-year?

We do! When a grade has room, we joyfully enroll new students for the current school year. Just ask Director of Admissions, Christan Perona, about availability in your child’s grade.

How do I know if transferring is best for my child?

As the parent, only you can make that decision. Local students transfer to Central during the school year for various reasons. What is your child’s personality? What’s drawing you to transfer? Is the learning environment a better fit for your child? Do you desire a Gospel-driven curriculum? Does the community and culture value what your family values? Ask yourself these questions, and seek God’s guidance. He promises wisdom to all who ask for it.

When is the best time for my child to transfer?

We enroll students at different times throughout the year. We’re on a trimester schedule, so some families choose to wait until the start of the second trimester (November 1) or the third trimester (February 10). Others find that January, right after Christmas break, is best.

What's our next step?

If you decide you want to your child to transfer mid-year, or if you have more questions, just let our Director of Admissions know. After you've completed the application process, our Admissions Committee will thoughtfully and prayerfully make an enrollment decision. Applications are received and considered on a rolling basis. If offered enrollment, your family would then complete an Enrollment Form and make arrangements for your child's first day at Central!
