Community Engagement

We desire for Central Christian School to be a training ground as students learn to love God, His world, and the community around them. Students are provided with ways to engage society, not run from it, as we seek to be change-agents who join God’s work of redeeming and restoring.

Zeal to Serve

Woven into our mission statement is a desire to partner with parents to instill within children a zeal to serve. As school and home come together to provide a diverse array of opportunities, students begin to discern their particular calling, engage with the world around them instead of run from it, and provide solutions.

Student service partnerships have included Promise Christian Academy, ThriVe St. Louis, the Albert Pujols Foundation, Sweet Celebrations, and others.

Providing service opportunities for students at every level is a distinctive at Central. From our youngest students in 3K, serving within our building by blessing our administration, to our oldest students in 6th grade, serving the community by partnering with various organizations, students have the chance to see what it means to make a difference.

Alumni-Led Organizations

Some of the ways we seek to foster an others-centered orientation are through active service and by specifically partnering with organizations and ministries led by Central parents and alumni. God is at work all over the St. Louis region, and we want our students to join Him in what He is doing!

During the 2020-21 school year we are partnering with Emily Nienhuis (CCS '89) and One Heart Family ministries to purchase pajamas for children in the Missouri foster care system, as well as with Jayson Tatum (CCS '10) and the Jayson Tatum Foundation to collect toys and coats for children identified through Every Child's Hope and Almost Home.
