Athletics

As an extension of the classroom, the Athletics program at Central Christian School exists to serve students in their physical, spiritual, and social growth. In recognizing the broad diversity of children, our desire is to teach all students a life-long love of sports and physical activity, equipping them for a life of service to God. A Central Christian School Lion is expected to honor God, their families, their teammates, and their opponents with their conduct and behavior.

Physical Education

All full-day Junior Kindergarten through 6th grade students participate in our physical education classes. After a year of learning, our Senior Kindergarten through 6th Grade students look forward to Field Day, traditionally held the last month of school. Students participate in individual, competitive running events, as well as class relays. Plus, they participate in fun games and activities including sack races, three legged races, tug of war, and more.

Extracurricular Sports

We also provide an outlet for all students to participate in athletics through extracurricular sports.  We aim for all athletes to receive equal playing time as they improve their skills. Students in Senior Kindergarten through 6th grade may play on a grade-level soccer, basketball, baseball, and/or softball team. All teams are coached by parent volunteers.
