Athletics

As a Christian school, Central strives to provide a variety of opportunities for students to grow and mature into their God-given potential. The athletic program is an integral part of this goal as well. In recognizing the broad diversity of children, our desire is to teach all students a life-long love of sports and physical activity, equipping them for a life of service to God. In athletics, we emphasize character-building, good sportsmanship, respect for authority, teamwork, self-discipline, and improving individual and team skills.

Physical Education

All full-day Junior Kindergarten through 6th grade students participate in our physical education classes. After a year of learning, our Senior Kindergarten through 6th Grade students look forward to Field Day, traditionally held the last month of school. Students participate in individual, competitive running events, as well as class relays. Plus, they participate in fun games and activities including a sack races, three legged race, tug of war, and more.

Extra-Curricular Sports

We also provide an outlet for all students to participate in athletics through extra-curricular team sports.  We aim for all athletes to receive equal playing time as they improve their skills. Students in Senior Kindergarten through 6th grade may play on a grade-level soccer, basketball, baseball, and/or softball team. All teams are coached by parent volunteers.
