Extended Care Director

Central Christian School is seeking an innovative leader to serve our school as our part-time Extended Care Director. This is an opportunity to work in a racially diverse Christian school that is committed to challenging academics and a strong sense of community. Candidates should have strong managerial skills, a collaborative attitude, and a joyful disposition.
The Extended Care Director will:

Ensure Proper Infrastructure of the Before and After Care programs by
  • Planning and overseeing the maintenance of an orderly, safe and pleasant atmosphere 
  • Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring Before Care and After Care staff in collaboration with Head of School 
  • Conducting annual training for workers & delivering program training updates.
  • Meeting with and managing staff as needed.
  • Planning enrichment classes – hiring instructors, conducting registration, and collecting fees.
  • Ordering and making program purchases (playground equipment, games, arts & crafts materials, etc.)
  • Planing program schedule and employee work schedule and adjusting for early dismissal days.

Oversee Day-to-Day Operations of Before and After Care programs by
  • Monitoring staff and students during daily program hours.
  • Overseeing proper student entry and dismissal procedures for Before Care.
  • Overseeing proper student check-in and dismissal procedures for After Care
  • Managing student discipline referrals, including counseling students involved in an issue and contacting parents if needed.
  • Maintaining records – submits monthly attendance reports to office.
