Elementary Teacher

We're hiring a full-time elementary teacher for the 2024/25 school year. Candidates should demonstrate a faith in Christ, love children, and be aligned with our vision and mission. Teachers at Central are eager to cultivate the spiritual, academic, social, and emotional growth of students.

Qualifications
- A profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Personally affirm Central’s Statement of Faith
- A member of a Bible-teaching Christian church
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Teaching Certification
- Love for and ability to connect with children
Desired Qualities
- Experience developing Project-Based Learning (PBL) experiences or willingness to learn
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Experience working as part of a collaborative team
- Knowlege of curriculum development utilizing Understanding by Design
- Ability to plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate an active learning environment
- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds
- Commitment to differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Ability to interact professionally with parents and school community members
- Commitment to professional development and lifelong learning
- Willingness a classroom community where all students feel safe, welcome, and respected
- Willingness to make cross-curricular connections across academic disciplines
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for a teaching position at Central is from $35,000-$57,000 commensurate with experience. Benefits include: medical (including vision and dental), retirement, holidays, school breaks (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Spring Break, Easter), personal days and sick days. In addition, employees' children receive a tuition discount, along with free before care and after care. Central is committed to the growth and flourishing of our employees and offers on-campus professional development, along with opportunities to engage in off-campus learning experiences.

Substitute Teacher

We're hiring substitute teachers to teach as needed on a day-to-day basis. Prior teaching experience or training is welcome but not required. Opportunities to substitute are in our 3/4s class through 6th Grade, as well as in our specialist classes including Art, PE, Spanish, Music, Library, and Design Lab. Our teachers will prepare lesson plans for you to implement in their absence.
