Social-Emotional Support

We believe that as children grow in their academic knowledge, they also need to develop appropriate social and emotional skills to support their learning. It is a privilege to build bridges between home and school by empowering the whole child.

Here at Central, students and families have the opportunity to participate in small groups that address relevant social topics throughout the school year. Our counselor works with teachers and administrators to identify focus areas for each age group. With individual students, we seek to provide a safe place for children to process their thoughts and feelings and teach them the lifelong importance of both sharing their truth and receiving accountability.

Believing in the importance of partnership, we know the health and strength of the family is critical to every other area of a student’s life. Our counselor works to establish a strong and loving rapport with both our students and their parents as a means to ensure the most lasting, fruitful path for each child, and ultimately the overall health of Central Christian School.
