Parent University: Strengthening the Body of Christ

    Multi-purpose Room
Guest Speaker/Facilitator: Aaron Layton, M. Div.
    Relate2Color & Westminster Christian Academy

Join us for our second of three Parent University nights of the 2025/26 school year. Mr. Aaron Layton, founder of Relate2Color and teacher at Westminster Christian Academy will lead us in "Strengthening the Body of Christ: Moving Toward Those Who Are Different from You."

Have you ever considered how we can steward diversity in our relationships with other parents? How do we remain true to our own convictions but allow other ?m?oms and dads to parent differently than we do? How should we initiate and respond to age-appropriate conversations about diversity, race, and culture with our kids at home? Aaron will help us engage with these topics through the framework of God's Great Story ?of Creation?, Fall?, Redemption?, and Restoration, and ?he'll lead us to consider practical ways to steward the beautifully diverse community God has established here at Central Christian School. We'll gather from 7:00-8:30pm in the ?lower level M?ulti-Purpose Room. While this discussion is specifically intended for the Central community, friends and relatives are welcome.

For the past 25 years, Aaron Layton has responded to God's calling to bridge communities of various racial and cultural backgrounds. He has taught at the high school and middle school level in both public and private schools, facilitated seminary and church forums, and has presented at various national conferences including the Presbyterian Church in America and People of Color Conference. Aaron holds a B.A. in Psychology, an M.A. in Education, and an M. Div. from Covenant Theological Seminary. In addition to serving at Westminster Christian Academy, he is an elder at Refresh Community Church and founded the Good Samaritan Leadership Conference for middle school that Central's 6th graders recently attended. Aaron and his wife, Gretchen, have two adult children, including our very own Senior Kindergarten teacher, Caleb Layton!
